Madame Leota Appears was a live performance based on The Haunted Mansion, part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Performed in New Orleans Sqaure, it featured the Ghost Host and Madame Leota. Constance Hatchaway, the Hitchhiking Ghosts (Ezra, Phineas and Gus), the Tightrope Girl, Captain Culpepper Clyne, “King Tut“ and Harriet (with the last two's voices even being heard).
Appearing on a balcony in New Orleans Square in full humanoid form (after an introduction from the Ghost Host), Madame Leota performs a long incantation calling forth all of the Mansion's prominent ghosts to join the 50th anniversary revels!
- The Ghost Host claims that "if whispers are to be believed, even as a child, Madame Leota possessed supernatural talents".
Behind the scenesEdit
Madame Leota Appears was a special event performed only once, in 2019. Among the various video captures of it, one (seen above) was posted by Laughing Place.
As is often the case with Disneyland live performances, no cast or crew is credited; the Ghost Host is unmistakably voiced by Corey Burton, but the name of the actress who portrayed Leota is unknown.
