A Magic Wand is a magical object.
Magic wands are small sticks of wood (it may be plain, painted or even ornately carved), sometimes with a gem embedded on the pointing hand. Magic wands are used by magicians, wizards, witches, sorcerers and sorceresses to direct their spells. Sorcerers and sorceresses (the official term for magic users who have no inherent powers and rely on magical objects and potions) often use wands to perform magic, although inherently magical people (the only ones worthy of the names of "witches" and "wizards" according to them) are also prone to use them because it is easier than to cast their spells manually. Some wands are also used for a specific purpose.
