Magical Mix-Up is a short story (and game) illustrated by Daniel Melgarejo. It features Magica De Spell, Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Phooey Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Bentina Beakley, Doofus Drake, Launchpad McQuack, the Beagle Boys, Gladstone Gander and Scrooge McDuck.
Description[]
Magica De Spell has cast a "mix-up" spell on Duckburg to plunge the city into chaos — and chaos it is in the streets as all of the city's most notable denizens have had their personalities reversed or switched!
Behind the scenes[]
This short written story (serving as a game, as the reader is meant to spot all the 'mistakes') was only ever published in the Spring 1989 edition of DuckTales Magazine. It is not indexed on INDUCKS.
Predating Much Ado About Phooey by ten years, and seven years after another game page (The Shadow), Magical Mix-Up was one of the first stories to have intentionally used Phooey Duck, the yellow "fourth triplet", who here appears to have been summoned into existence by the mix-up spell.
