Mavis is or was a female Roc bird.
Description[]
An immense, multicolored Roc bird, Mavis (apparently so named by the Genie) was, in Aladdin's early adventuring days following his defeat of Jafar and prior to his wedding with Jasmine, the mother of a youthful Roc Kid who was abducted by Abis Mal and his gang so that the thugs could use this unlimited supply of Roc feathers to commit magic-enabled crimes. Mavis, located by the Genie, helped defeat the thugs in thanks for her child being returned to her.
