Maybury Hill is a (possibly fictitious) village in England, in the country of Woking. It was the setting for part of Herbert George Wells's novel War of the Worlds and its various adaptations.

Behind the scenes

Maybury Hill appears in the 1987 story War of the Worlds.

There is no village by the name of Maybury Hill in real-life Woking; the real-life The War of the Worlds is actually set in Maybury, Woking, with Maybury Hill being a specific location (indeed, a hill) within Maybury where the main character's house happens to be located. It appears that Alessandro Sisti, being unfamiliar with the particulars of British geography, misinterpreted Wells on this point.
