Lately, I've been renaming some file names in an attempt to make the names neater and more easily searchable. This project of course requires me to go through all the images (or all the recently uploaded ones, at least) on this wiki. I've noticed that a few of the images that you've uploaded are near exact duplicates of other images. For example, Download-2-0.jpg and The_Fantastic_River_Race.png are the exact image, with Downlad-2-0.jpg just being of lower quality. I'm wondering if you'd maybe okay with me, in cases of duplicate images, deleting the image of lower quality. I'm not considering deleting any image which isn't just a low-quality duplicate, so please do not think that I'm threatening to delete all of the images you've uploaded. Also, I don't plan to start deleting any images which you've uploaded without your consent, since I know that I, for one, would be disappointed if someone permanently deleted an image I uploaded without my consent.
TL;DR: You've uploaded a few images that are just lower quality versions of other images already on the Scrooge McDuck Wiki, and I want your permission to delete them.
Ah, @Moose? Sorry to go butting in, but these images — have they been posted on pages, albeit with their being removed from the pages since? If so, I'd really rather you did not delete them, though you might rename them from the likes of File:Download-2-0 to something more along the lines of File:The_Fantastic_River_Race_(copy). It's to the general detriment of the browsing experience (though, I'll grant, a relatively minor aesthetic concerns as these things go) if a curious editor, trying to look at past revisions of a page via the "History" button, finds them riddled with broken image links.
All that being said, @Bearmanyay, I can only concur with TheMidgetMoose on you being more careful what you title your images and on not uploading needless duplicates.
Very well. No images shall be deleted. I apologize for the unnecessary message, Bearmanyay, though I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the work you've done on the wiki. It's been good having you here! Thank you for all you've done.
Hey Bearmanyay, would you mind giving images descriptive titles when you upload them? You know, saying who or what the picture is of as opposed to a download time stamp or a long string of numbers and/or letters? I’d greatly appreciate it.
Hello! You've been doing a lot of great work, but please stop adding images indiscriminately to pages that already have an infobox (and infobox image), it screws up the page's length leaving a long blank space at the end (i.e. see Fulton Gearloose).
Also, I know writing out full pages isn't always easy and it's very attractive to say "good enough" and move on to the next thing, but we'd truly rather you created fewer, complete pages than a whole lot of stubs, even if the stubs you create are all for pages which we should have in the long run.
Nonetheless, please don't let these criticism get you down. You're amazingly productive and we're very happy to have you here.
