  • Spoonerville is the town in Dogwatch county, the most northeastern area of Calisota. Its most notable residents are Goofy Goof, Max Goof, Peter Pete, and Peg Pete. Goofy receives frequent visits from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Scrooge McDuck, and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck. Most of the residents are anthropomorphic dogs, but it has small minorities of other anthropomorphic animals and humans. The town is composed of a mainland and two large islands, interlinked with bridges and tunnels. To the right of Spoonerville sits the Bay of Biscuits, which flows around the two islands that help make up much of the town. There are several ports for ships and boats to dock. The town has many convenient places for both its residents and visitors. There is a movie theater, three hospitals, an airport, various video shops, a camping area, three fire stations, three police stations, several malt shops and other facilities. Serious crime in the area is very low. making the town a pleasant place to live. The various types of people live in relative harmony with each other.

  • The question is this: Is Calisota a state in another dimension that presents itself in a particular area of northern California? It exhibits many surreal laws of physics that cannot be seen in the real world. Ex: Crashes by Launchpad that should maim or kill individuals, overly simple machines and individuals who live well beyond normal life spans in the real world.

    • While this is an amusing theory, such events also happen all over the Disney-comics version of the U.S.A. It's simply that the Prime Universe has different laws of physics, and happens to also include countries and locations which don't exist on our Earth, one of which is Calisota.

        Loading editor
    • Your last part is interesting. Are you saying that calisota is one of those locations that doesn't exist on our Earth? Couldn't it exist in another dimension, along with other comic versions, and occupy the same frame of space?

  • GOOSETOWN: Goosetown is a now a small town located five mile south of Duckburg and six miles east of New Quackmore. DESCRIPTION: A century ago, Goosetown was a rival to Duckburg and was approximately the same size. Over the decades, due to the business and tourist development of both Duckburg and New Quackmore, most of the population has moved, leaving the town to the size of a few streets populated almost exclusively by anthropomorphic geese. Only one road is maintained between it and the two nearest cities. Located in the county of Webfoot, it is hardly mentioned or visited except as a bypass road to the nearby cities.

Several decades ago, Goosetown was a thriving metropolis that had a sports arena where its residents and professional athletes contested Duckburg and other cities in football, baseball, basketball and soccer...and won many prizes for first place. Its downtown was sizable....until the oil wells dried up almost overnight. After the loss of business, the tourist industry dwindled to being non-existent. Today, with the exception of a few streets, the expanse that was Goosetown is littered with rundown buildings and homes.

BEHIND THE SCENES: In the various Duckburg Tales, the town has lost importance to the editors and is very seldom mentioned or described.

  • INTRODUCTION: Controversy surrounds Ludwig's relationship with the Duck family.

DESCRIPTION: Ludwick Von Drake is the half brother to Quackmore Duck, who is Donald Duck's father. Donald's grandmother, Elvira, was briefly married to Beak Drake, of Vienna Austria, birthing Ludwig before divorcing Beak and moving back to Duckburg. Ludwig was raised by his father, who was a university professor in Austria.

BEHIND THE SCENES: One article claims Von Drake is Donald's uncle on the paternal side. Another article claims he's an uncle by marrying Scrooge MacDuck's sister. This should give clarity to his relationship with Donald Duck

    • It appears a user first quoted the original post without adding any original comment, and then quoted him/herself quoting the original post. Odd. The only motive I can currently divine is that 322nmarlyn liked the original post so much that he/she did this to put it in the recent activity. I could be wrong, but it's the best theory I've got.

  • When I was in the eighth grade I hated math and science and almost failed. However, over the summer, I read the comic book, "Donald in Math Magic land". It turned me on to math and science and I got A's in those courses. In fact, by the 10th grade, I was placed in an experimental science program and got all A's in it.

    • The point of the areas in the WIki for discussion is simply for the Wiki editors to discuss the running of the Wiki. It's certainly not for "writing yourself into the world": Scrooge McDuck Wiki is a serious encyclopedia about the Disney comics universe, which only accepts canonical info.

    • Oh, I didn't know. What do you mean about the running of the Wiki? I'm unfamiliar with the terminology and scope of the business....but would like to learn and maybe be of assistance.
