Mickey's Nephews, also printed as Mickey Minds the Kids and Mickey Mouse and his Nephews, is a comic story written and penciled by Floyd Gottfredson and inked by Ted Thwaites. It features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and, in their debut, Morty, Ferdie and Amelia Fieldmouse.
Plot[]
Mickey Mouse's older sister Amelia Fieldmouse leaves her two young sons, Morty and Ferdie, in Mickey's care while going on an unspecified trip. Despite Amelia's claims that the twins won't be much trouble, Mickey soon finds out that Morty and Ferdie are unbelievably energetic, careless, and, to top it all, irredeemable pranksters who soon turn his home into a hilarious chaos.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was first printed in various American newspapers from September to November of 1932. It was then reprinted in Gladstone Comic Album #3, Mickey Mouse in Color #1, Mickey Mouse in Color #2, and, of course, in the Floyd Gottfredson Library.
