Mickey Mouse and the Clones of Channel 3000 is a comic story written, penciled and inked by Casty, with additional inking by Michele Mazzon. It features Mickey Mouse, Eega Beeva, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Chief O'Hara, Pluto, Detective Casey, Patricia Pigg, Peg-Leg Pete, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow and Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse. Joe Piper, Mr McKatz and Scuttle are also mentioned in the localized American version.
After switching on a gift by Eega Beeva (apparently a futuristic HD television set), Mickey Mouse and his friends find themselves trapped inside a copy of Mouseton entirely populated by unresponsive lookalikes. What truly happened, and how will they get out of this one?
Behind the scenes
This story was first printed in Topolino #3000; the connection to the number 3000 in the plot was, obviously, in celebration of the 3000th issue. It was printed in English in Mickey Mouse #330. As per the American tradition, the dialogue was not only translated, but also reworked, by Jonathan Gray.
