Minnie's First Tooth is an unofficial English title for the 348th Disney Babies one-pager, a comic story cowritten by Gérard Cousseau and Jean-Loïc Belhomme, and drawn by Claude Marin. It features the child versions of Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse. Madonna is mentioned.
Plot[]
Minnie Mouse excitedly announces that she has grown her first tooth — but terribly upset when, after checking on her behalf, Daisy Duck is forced to tell her that this tooth isn't golden…
References[]
- Madonna is a celebrity with whom the young Minnie Mouse is familiar, and who is apparently notorious for having a gold tooth.
Behind the scenes[]
Minnie's First Tooth was first printed in 1993 in French in Le Journal de Mickey #2129, and is not known to have ever been officially printed in English. As well as showing a notable event of Minnie Mouse's early life, the story is also notable for highlighting the very vague timelines of Disney comics by casually alleging that the singer Madonna, whose real-world career began in the 1970s, would have been known to a toddler Minnie.
