Miss Van Pork is an anthropomorphic pig.
Description[]
Miss Van Pork is presumably a resident of Mouseton, Calisota. She may be related to Napoleon Van Pork, a patient of a Mouseton mental health hospital.[1] In 1930, she played her first game of miniature golf at Mickey Mouse's Miniature Golf, playing with Mr Wattley. She was embarrassed to learn that some of her undergarments had been stolen by some of the animals which worked at Mickey Mouse's Miniature Golf and were now being used as part of the golf course.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Miss Van Pork's first appearance was in a strip of Mr Slicker and the Egg Robbers. The strip in question was initially released on September the 30th, 1930.
Curiously, INDUCKS identifies her as one with Patricia Pigg. The two characters definitely share a similarity, as they are both rotund female pigs. However, they have different surnames, indicating they are different characters. It could be argued that Van Pork was Patricia's maiden name, but Patricia's surname was already Pigg (here spelled "Pig") by Mr Slicker and the Egg Robbers, as Clarabelle Cow refers to her as "Patricia Pig" in a strip of that story initially released on November the 1st, 1930. While it's possible she could have married Percy Pigg between the two strips, this is neither implied nor supported by any evidence within the story.
