Moon Scorpions are a species of non-sapient animals who exist on the 2017 Continuum's Moon.
Description[]
Moon Scorpions are small, scuttling creatures very much like the scorpions who exist on Earth; the appearance of their mouth resembles that of a Moonmite, suggesting an evolutionary relationship (albeit distant) between the two. At any rate, they sting like any other scorpion. While appearing lime green under normal lighting, they glow light blue in the dark. Moon Scorpions are the primary food source of the Moonlanders.
Behind the scenes[]
A Moon Scorpion was first glimpsed in a 2019 episode of DuckTales 2017, The Golden Spear. Another was featured more prominently in the later episode What Ever Happened to Donald Duck?. Francisco Angones had also revealed on Frank Angones and the Suspenders of Disbelief that they are Moonlanders' main food source in the interim between the two episodes.
