Description
Scrooge McDuck's great-great-uncle, Captain Morgan McDuck was a pirate and therefore considered a family shame by the McDuck Clan. Morgan stole a fortune and buried it all near Duckburg shortly before his passing. His descendant Scrooge McDuck later searched for the treasure, but only found an empty chest and a letter stating that, in a sudden change of heart, a redeemed Morgan had retrieved the gold and given it to a charity for retired sea parrots.
Behind the scenes
Morgan McDuck only ever appeared (in flashback form) in the 1973 story Pirated Treasure, which has never been published anywhere in English.
