Mount Vesuvius is a volcano located in Italy in the Prime Universe.
Description[]
Mount Vesuvius was the ancient volcano which destroyed the Roman city of Pompei. In the Prime Universe, it remains active to this day, with a pool of lava perpetually visible on the surface in the depths of the crater. Magica De Spell lives in a shack on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, as the Amulet of Midas which she hopes to create using Scrooge McDuck's Number One Dime can only be forged in the fires of Mount Vesuvius.

Mount Vesuvius seems to have first appeared in a Disney Comics context in the 1961 story The Midas Touch, which also introduced Magica De Spell.
