Mountain Mystery is a comic story written by Vic Lockman and drawn by Tony Strobl. It features Goofy and Grimhilde.

Goofy is going to spend the holidays in his mountain shack, when he happens upon a most unusual sight: an old witch hanging miserably from a tree branch. The hag soon explains that she fell from her broom and, in her current state, is unable to perform any magic to free herself. Goofy, naively trusting as always, decides to help « thuh poor lady ». Free and magical once more, Grimhilde, in a rare show of kindness, decides to thank her unexpected savior by granting him a wish. Goofy decides that he does wish his shack were bigger on the inside… The wish is granted, but things don't go as planned.

Behind the scenes

This story was only ever printed in September of 1965 in Donald Duck #103.

The intended meaning of its title is unknown, as the story does not actually contain any mystery. The title might have been rushedly assigned by the editor to an originally untitled story.
