Mystery of the Manse is a short comic series written by Dan Vado as one of the main recurring features of SLG Publishing's mid-2000's Haunted Mansion comics.
The Ghost Host, hanging from the rafters of the cupola in his Haunted Mansion, decides to tell a hapless mortal the true story (or is it?) of how the Mansion as we know it came to be — from young Master William Gracey's days as the first mate of Captain Pace's ship the Pomona to the tragic death of Emily De Claire on her wedding day!

Behind the scenes
This story gives a unique account of the Haunted Mansion's backstory, distinct from (but influenced by) the Ghost Gallery and Nuptial Doom versions and miscellaneous other accounts. Although it and all its controversial lore reveals are, within the series, kept at a distance by being related by the extremely unreliable narrator that is the Ghost Host himself, Mystery of the Manse is treated as valid history for the Mansion in the Interview series.
