Nana is or was a non-anthropomorphic dog belonging to the Darling family.
A highly intelligent dog, this female Saint-Bernard owned by the Darling family was competent enough to serve as the "nanny" of the three Darling children (starting with Wendy), making sure they took their medicine and such. Nana eventually had a daughter, nicknamed Nanatwo.
Behind the scenesEdit
Nana (based on the character of the same name in James Matthew Barrie's Peter Pan novel and play, who was actually a Newfoundland as opposed to a Saint-Bernard) first appeared in the 1953 animated feature Peter Pan.
