Nancy, who surname may be Duck, is a cousin of Donald Duck.

Description[]

Nancy shares her first and possibly last name as well with the actress, Nancy Duck. This similarity of names caused confusion in 1973 when she visited her cousin, Donald Duck, for dinner. Donald's girlfriend, Daisy Duck, who had apparently never met "Cousin Nancy" before, mistakenly thought that she was the same person as the glamorous actress and became very jealous. The situation was cleared later when Daisy and her dentist, Danny Duck, came to Donald's house while Nancy was there.

Nancy appears to be a photographer, as Donald says she is in the "picture business". She also brings a camera with her to Donald's house and even tells Daisy, "I just love to take pictures!"

Behind the scenes[]

Nancy's only appearance was in the story written by Bob Gregory, released in March of 1973, called A Likely Story.

Her placement of the Duck family tree is not made clear at all by A Likely Story, which simply refers to her as Donald Duck's cousin. In his unofficial family tree, Gilles Maurice placed her as a sister of Dudly D Duck and Danilo Duck and a granddaughter of Stonewall Duck, whom he believed to be Humperdink Duck's brother. This would make her Donald's second cousin. Aristide Twain kept her as a sister of Dudly and Danilo in his unofficial family tree, though he believed her parents to instead be Eider Duck and Lulubelle Loon, making her Donald's first cousin and making her the sister of Fethry Duck and Whitewater Duck, among others.
