Changes: Number One Dime (2017 Continuum)

The Number One Dime is the first coin ever earned by Scrooge McDuck, and the 2017 Continuum's counterpart to the original Number One Dime.

History

This version of the Number One Dime has much the same history as the Prime Universe's, and is likewise sought out by Magica De Spell, though for somewhat different reasons, as the Dime's mystical powers would seemingly allow the undead Magica to restore herself to full life and power.

In a discrepancy that dates back to the minting itself as opposed to anything relating to this particular Dime, the figure of Liberty engraved upon this version of the Dime is an anthropomorphic duck rather than a human woman.

Scrooge usually wears the Dime as a pendant around his neck, tucked beneath his coat; though he does have a dime exposed in a globe in his Money Bin much like Scrooge Prime, it is merely a decoy.

Behind the scenes

This version of the Dime is prominently featured in the opening credits of every DuckTales 2017 episode starting with Woo-oo!. It was first the focus of an episode with The Great Dime Chase. It appears in the video game Disney Heroes: Battle Mode as a badge.
