Description[]
Oscar, whose last name is most probably Gander, is a nephew of Scrooge McDuck. Though kind, honest, and calm, the man is cursed with supernatural bad luck. His exact relationship to Scrooge is not clear. He might be a brother or half-brother of Gladstone Gander, the two birds sharing the same surname and connection to luck, be it good or bad luck. His apparent closeness to Scrooge might make one wonder if he is not the son of Goosetave Gander and Daphne Duck but is instead the son of Goosetave Gander and Scrooge's sister, Matilda McDuck, who was once married to Goosetave according to one family tree.[1]
