Phones to Venus is a comic one-pager. Reusing an outline written by Greg Crosby, though it is unclear if the alterations were Crosby's work, it also lifts the art by Frank Smith that illustrated Crosby's earlier script. It features Ludwig von Drake and Donald Duck.
Description[]
Ludwig von Drake uses sophisticated equipment to attempt to contact "strange extraterrestrials" from outer space. And he does manage it, but it seems some things never change…
Continuity[]
- This story was created by altering the dialogues (and punchline) of the earlier Phones to Venus (1978), and can thus be read as a sequel to it where Ludwig von Drake further perfects his outer-space-contacting equipment.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was only ever printed in English in November of 1982 in miscellaneous American newspapers.
