Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin is penetrated by a mouse who has gained intelligence thanks to being in contact with a lucky charm belonging to Gladstone Gander. Now the mouse blackmails Scrooge by threatening to eat a 10 thousand dollar banknote if he doesn't order him the most expensive cheeses…
Behind the scenes
Powerplay on Killmotor Hill is partially based on a script written in 1955 by Carl Barks for an Uncle Scrooge cartoon that was, in the end, never made. The idea of the rat threatening to destroy a banknote to blackmail Scrooge, one of the ideas of the cartoon, had already been used in 2002 as the basis of Rodent's Ransom, by Daan Jippes.
The comic story was first printed, in German, in the 2004 Lustiges Taschenbuch #323. It was printed in English in 2008 in Uncle Scrooge #377, and then again in the English-language Dutch title Donald Duck Pocketbook #5 (titled Stories from Duckburg) in 2012.
