- The cartoon purports to show how Mickey Mouse became an actor in the 1920's, seemingly bridging A Mysterious Melody (2016) with the start of Mickey's film career.
- Minnie Mouse and the “Tailor King”, who act in the film the Director is trying to make, would later appear alongside Mickey Mouse as star in another medieval film, The Brave Little Tailor — as depicted in The Brave Little Tailor (1938) and its comic adaptation.
