Description[]
The Sandman is a wizard-like magical figure with pointed elf-like ears, carrying a patchwork bag of magical sand. As a boy once found out, the Sandman is capable of appearing within the dream realm of Lullaby Land, much like Bogeymen, and to allow the dreamer to pass into a deeper, more natural, more restful sleep by sprinkling his magic sand in their eyes.
Behind the scenes[]
This version of the Sandman first appeared in the 1933 Silly Symphonies cartoon Lullaby Land, shown to be canonical to the Prime Universe in the comic Shuffled Symphonies, from Mickey Mouse Weekly #1.
