Sir Surelock is an anthropomorphic dog.

Description[]

Famed as one of the greatest detectives in the world, Sir Surelock is much smaller than his quasi-namesake Sherlock Holmes, but just as smart and observant. He was hired in 1963 by Scrooge McDuck to investigate on a burglar who was apparently walking across his (acres-wide) bed every night to get to his money bin. Surelock quickly found out that what felt like the steps of a man on the mattress were actually the little noise of a money-stomping machine of Scrooge's, amplified by the bed's many springs.

Behind the scenes[]

An obvious parody of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Surelock only ever appeared in Vic Lockman and Carl Barks's 1963 story The Invisible Intruder.
