Hack and Slash Smashnikov, collectively the Smashnikov Brothers, are two anthropomorphic wolves from the 2017 Continuum.
Description[]
A duo of dangerous (albeit cheap) Russian mercenaries, the thuggish Smashnikov Brothers were hired (along with Gabby McStabberson) by Flintheart Glomgold in 2017 to rob the ruins of Atlantis and, if possible, off Scrooge McDuck while doing it. Naturally, they eventually failed, although neither the Smashnikovs nor Glomgold and McStabberson were apparently arrested when they returned to the mainland.
The two later appeared briefly after Tiffany was defeated, joining the Beagle Boys and their old employer Glomgold in helping themselves to Scrooge's scattered wealth.
Behind the scenes[]
The Smashnikovs first appeared in 2017 in Woo-oo!, the pilot of DuckTales 2017. They are two of the characters specifically created for the series, and presumably do not have counterparts in the regular universe.
They could be inspired by Glomgold's wolf henchmen in Dismal Downs Debacle.
