The Solar System is an averagely-sized system best-known for the planet Earth, although it is also home to several other inhabited planets, including Mars and Oniro. Its planets orbit the Sun. Although several lone scientists from Earth have achieved interstellar travels, the Solar System is largely cut off from galaxy-level politics, being left out of such organizations as the United Galactic Federation. In fact, most inhabitants of Earth seem unaware of the other inhabited planets in their own System, an arguably willfull cluelessness that surely mattered a great deal to the aliens in their treatment of the Solar System.
