Sonic Screwdrivers are highly-advanced technological gizmos bordering on the magical.
Description[]
Sonic Screwdrivers are fantastical gizmos capable of achieving basically any small-scale physical effect via highly-modulated soundwaves. They are most associated with Earth-5556, a parallel universe where they were invented by a Time Lord scientist and adventurer known as the Doctor. The Doctor visited the Prime Universe, and universes adjacent to it, on several occasions, usually taking his Screwdriver with him.[1]
Sonic Screwdrivers, often compared to Magic Wands, are recorded in the Revised Edition of the Ars Goetia; they get an entry in its glossary, which the entry for Magic Wands advises to check to compare and contrast Sonics and Wands. This note was read by Gladstone Gander in 2017.[2][FANWORK]
Behind the scenes[]
The Sonic Screwdriver is one of the most iconic accessories from the British science-fantasy franchise Doctor Who, which has crossed over with the Disney Comics universe on many occasions, both official and not.
