Spirou and the Poisson Express (Spirou et le Pousson Express in the original French) is a cartoon written and drawn by Rob-Vel. It features Spirou.
Plot[]
Spirou, riding an oversized fish, demonstrates that the Starfish fish shop gets all its deliveries from, not the Pony Express, but the “Poisson Express”
Behind the scenes[]
This cartoon was created in 1978, 35 five years after Rob-Vel had stopped being the regular author of the Spirou comics, as a thank-you card to the real-life Étoile de mer fish shop of which he was a frequent patron.
The card is signed both "Rob-Vel" and “Spirou Ier”, “Spirou Ier” (for "Spirou the First") being the term Rob-Vel began using throughout the 1970's to refer to "his" Spirou as opposed to the later, more grown-up version of the character as defined by André Franquin.
