The Bedeviled Dime is a DuckTales comic story written and drawn by William Van Horn. It features Scrooge McDuck, Magica De Spell, Launchpad McQuack, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Gyro Gearloose and the Little Helper.
Plot[]
In anticipation of Magica De Spell's newest attack on the Money Bin, Scrooge McDuck has used a new invention of Gyro's to enlarge his Number One Dime beyond what a single woman would carry, also proofing the result against spells of any kind. Unfortunately, the ray is unstable, and Magica and Scrooge end up chasing an ever-size-shifting Dime throughout the streets of Duckburg!
References[]
- Gyro Gearloose has recently built Scrooge two machines to help him against Magica De Spell: a special sensor that detects Magica's "magical vibrations", and the Anti-Magic Magnification Ray. Some components of the latter are Hyper-Molecular Resonators and Subliminal Ohmstat Doodlesocks.
- Magica worries that if word gets out of her humiliating defeat, she will be shamed out even of Sorcerers Anonymous.
Continuity[]
- An episode of the original DuckTales series, The Bedeviled Dime takes place during Donald Duck's time in the navy, which the bulk of DuckTales covers, as evidenced by the absence of Donald.
