The Case of the Circulating Saucer (titled Zio Paperone e la Moneta Disco Volante in the original Italian) is a comic story written by Carlo Chendi and drawn by Giorgio Cavazzano. It features Scrooge McDuck, O.K. Quack, Albert Quackmore and, in their debuts, Humphrey Gokart, Edgar and Chauncey, Miss Molly and Tony. The American localization also mentions the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell.
Plot[]
O.K. Quack, still living at Uncle Scrooge's Money Bin, stumbles upon private eye Humphrey Gokart and attempts to hire him to help look for his Flywheel, all while still settling into a peaceful life in Duckburg. Meanwhile, Scrooge comes face to face with his old landlady Miss Molly.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was first printed in 1982 in the Italian Topolino #1389. It was printed in English in Uncle Scrooge #444, with the script slightly altered (by Joe Torcivia), as usual with modern American translations. Among the added material is a reference to A Bucket of Scones.
This story is notable for being the first appearance of Humphrey Gokart, and one of the first stories involving O.K. Quack.
