The Combination Caper is a comic story drawn by Jack Manning. It features Scrooge McDuck, the three regular Beagle Boys and, in their debut, their cousin Psychic-176 and the boxer Kid Klout.

A visit by the Beagle Boys' cousin Psychic-176 — whose tendencies towards unrepentant mooching are balanced out by the reality and power of his telepathic abilities — proves opportune as they try to use him to figure out the combination to Scrooge McDuck's new safe-door!

  • Scrooge McDuck has only one security guard stay at the Money Bin overnight.
  • Psychic-176 is a telepathic Beagle Boy with the ability to read people's immediate thoughts, though he cannot parse memories when his targets aren't thinking about them at the moment. He can read thoughts even at some distance, and without the targets' knowledge.
  • Kid Klout is a star boxer of measurements “56-32-22”.
