The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee is a cartoon written by Christian Magalhaes (along with Ducktales 2017's normal team of writers) and directed by Jason Zurek. It features Huey Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, his alias Gizmoduck, M'ma Crackshell-Cabrera, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Mark Beaks, Roxanne Featherly, Headless Man-Horse, Li'l Bulb and, in their debuts, Gandra Dee and Doctor Atmoz Fear. Launchpad mentions two more of his many and colorful exes: a werewolf and a Viking Shieldmaiden. Gandra Dee mentions Benjamin Frankloon.
Fenton is burned out on being Gizmoduck. He's overworked, has almost no time to work on his scientific projects, and is worried people only like him because he's a superhero. When he goes on a date with a scientist he just met named Gandra Dee, he's elated to have someone in his life who loves him just for being Fenton. But what will he do when he finds out why she really came to the lab?
- Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera's inventions include Fentonium, a Gold Magnet, Tasty Spray, and his own version of the Universal Solvent.
- Gandra Dee can administer electric shocks with her bare hands thanks to her Nanites. She also made bionic improvements to her eyes, allowing her to take pictures of what she sees at any given moment.
- Omnisolve was prominently featured in the Prime Universe in a series of stories by Don Rosa, beginning with The Universal Solvent (1995).
Behind the ScenesEdit
The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee is the thirty-ninth episode of DuckTales 2017.
In spite of being called Doctor Atmoz Fear both by Gizmoduck and a news headline in the episode, the end credits shorten his name to Dr Atmoz. The end credits also omit Tom Kenny's role as a TV reporter.
