Rhea-riding outlaw El Gaucho, also known as Mickey Mouse, visits the Cantino Argentino where he flirts and dances with the fabulous dancer, Minnie Mouse. Things go awry when Pete kidnaps Minnie, leaving it up to Mickey and his intoxicated rhea to rescue her.
- Through unknown circumstances, Mickey Mouse has earned the alias of "El Gaucho" and is a wanted criminal who smokes cigarettes and drinks what appears to be alcohol.

The Gallopin' Gaucho is an animated short made by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. It was the second Mickey Mouse cartoon to be produced, and the second to be distributed. Its production was finished in August 1928, and it was released on December the 30th, 1928.
