The Greatest Invention He's Never Had is a DuckTales 2017 comic written by Joe Caramagna and drawn for its first ten pages by the trio of Ciro Cangialosi, Danilo Loizedda and Cirstina Stella, with the other half drawn instead by Luca Usai. It features the 2017 Continuum versions of Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Scrooge McDuck, Mark Beaks, Flintheart Glomgold and Gyro Gearloose, as well as the debuts of the Wake-In-Ator 3000
Plot[]
Gyro Gearloose, feeling unusually unappreciated by his boss Scrooge McDuck, gets so fed up with him as to volunteer his latest invention (the Wake-In-Ator 3000) to be featured on a reality TV show hosted by Mark Beaks and produced by Flintheart Glomgold! Gyro wants to be appreciated, Glomgold wants to see cool robot-shark action (and also to beat Scrooge McDuck), Scrooge wants Gyro back… and as for the Wake-In-Ator, being a Gearloose invention, it of course goes haywire after becoming sentient. Mayhem ensue, and it may just take a leaf-blower to solve it. Yes, that's right, a humble leaf-blower…
Behind the scenes[]
The Greatest Invention He's Never Had was the only story in IDW's DuckTales #15. Though published in one block as a full-length 20-page-long story, it appears to have been originally produced as two parts, each having a different artist (or set of artists) — to the point that the two parts are indexed separately on INDUCKS.
