The Return of Jafar is an animated feature film directed by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove. It features Aladdin, the Genie, Jafar, Princess Jasmine, Iago, the Sultan of Agrabah, Razoul, the Magic Carpet, Rajah, Abu, Omar and, in their debuts, Abis Mal and his thugs.
Aladdin and Jasmine are living happily in Agrabah, though Aladdin is having some trouble getting used to the responsabilities of palace life. But trouble is brewing… Iago, sick of Jafar's abuse, has managed to escaped the Cave of Wonders and has decided to become a good guy; but more worryingly, Jafar is out too, and, while still a bound genie, he is now manipulating his latest "master" (weak-minded thief Abis Mal) for his own revengeful purposes.

Behind the scenesEdit
Released in 1994, The Return of Jafar is the official sequel to the 1992 Aladdin film (though other comics and short films take place in-between the two), and the de-facto pilot of Aladdin: The Series (it was originally planned out as the pilot, before it was decided to release it as a standalone sequel).
It is the first Disney direct-to-video sequel and the second movie by what would become DisneyToon Studios.
