L'Ombre, translatable as The Shadow is a 'game' comic strip drawn by Henri Dufranne. It features Gyro Gearloose, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Phooey Duck, and, in his first and only appearance, a fifth nephew, later dubbed Kablooie Duck. As part of a proverb, Gyro also notably references God.

A game page, the comic invites the reader to guess to whom of the five nephews of Donald Duck a single, animated shadow belongs… Wait, what? The presence of an extremely confused Gyro Gearloose (who gets his proverbs all wrong) may go some way towards explaining just what is happening here!

Behind the scenesEdit

This story was only ever printed in 1982 in the French Super Picsou Géant #0-123. Though a mere game page, it is, of course, notable for the intentional appearances of Phooey Duck and even a fifth nephew. Interestingly, Phooey's next intentional appearance would also be in a game page, Magical Mix-Up, a few days down the line.
