The Sorceress's Apprentice is an unofficial comic story written and drawn by Sarah Jolley. It features Gladstone Gander, Magica De Spell, Scrooge McDuck, and the Vesuvius Detectives. Donald Duck, Grandma Duck, Daphne Duck and the Traveling Painter are also mentioned. The story serves as a sequel to A Gal for Gladstone and also ties in to The Sign of the Triple Distlefink.

Plot[]

Gladstone Gander, while in Uncle Scrooge's office and being lectured by Scrooge about work ethics, is accidentally teleported to her house by Magica De Spell. Desperate not to have to go back to the Money Bin too quickly, Gladstone manages to talk his way into staying at Magica's for a few days. To the two's surprise, they find themselves enjoying each other's company quite a bit…

Behind the scenes[]

This story is one of a series of unofficial homages to the characters written and drawn by Sarah Jolley (author of the acclaimed comic The Property of Hate). It was released in 2017 for free on the Internet.

At one point while in the middle of saying Donald Duck's name, Magica De Spell gets cut short by someone shouting 'Rosa', causing the line to come out as Don Rosa.
