Donald Duck has acquired a hypnotic ray that can make anyone obsessed with the idea of giving a lot of gifts to any person whose image is added to the device. He intends to put a picture of himself in it and use it on his uncle Scrooge to finally get the skinflint to give him something nice for Christmas. However, a mixup ends with Scrooge now set on fulfilling every desire of the Duchess of Duckshire's pet bulldog, and convinced that what the dog really wants is the integrality of the gifts descripe in The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Behind the scenesEdit
Written in August of 1963, this story was first printed in February of 1964 in Uncle Scrooge #47. It was then reprinted in Uncle Scrooge #96, Walt Disney's Christmas Parade #2, Uncle Scrooge McDuck in Color #44, Walt Disney's Christmas Parade #4, and, of course, in the Carl Barks Library, as well as in the Australian Giant #324.
