The Two-Legged Mailbox is a comic story written by Vic Lockman and drawn by Tony Strobl. It features Gyro Gearloose and Posty, who makes his debut in the story.

After having to collect the mail from his mailbox causes one of his experiments to fail, Gyro Gearloose builds a robotical mailbox, intending it to bring him the mail on its own accord as soon as it gets delivered. Unfortunately, between the robot (dubbed Posty) becoming bored with his job, and the Duckburg population being scared stupid of the "demonic living mailbox", nothing goes as expected…

Behind the scenes

Despite being the first appearance of recurring character Posty, this story was only ever printed once in English, in the 1965 Uncle Scrooge #59.
