Titanic Model in the Bottle is INDUCKS's pseudo-title for a comic strip written by Del Connell and drawn by Román Arámbula. It features Mickey Mouse and Goofy.
Description[]
Mickey Mouse asks Goofy where the model ship that used to be in the bottle on his mantelpiece has gone. Goofy's casual answer is as whimsical as ever.
References[]
- Goofy is reading an issue of a newspaper called The Gossip.
- Goofy claims that the reason his model ship disappeared is that, being a model of the RMS Titanic, it sank.
Continuity[]
- The Titanic would later play a larger part in Disney Comics lore in The Empire-Builder from Calisota (1994), Chapter XI of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, where a younger Scrooge McDuck was shown to have been aboard when it sank.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was only ever printed in English in May of 1976 in miscellaneous American newspapers.
