Tootum-Too was an ancient city-state that still exists as a town.
History and DescriptionEdit
Located in the middle of a nondescript Mesopotamian desert, Tootum-Too was a flourishing city-state thousands of years in the past. Its emblem was a pair of flying lions, and it was a monarchy, whose last known king shared the city's name — King Tootum-Too. During the reign of King Tootum-Too, the city was at odds with a rival people, the Toogs; thanks to a Trojan-Horse-style trick, the Toogs gained entry into the city and eventually destroyed it.
In 1982, Scrooge McDuck and Gyro Gearloose travelled aboard the Gyro-Plane in search of the ruins of Tootum-Too, hoping to find forgotten treasure preserved in its walls. An unforeseen interaction of the Gyro-Plane with another of Gyro's inventions, the Terrascope, catapulted the two Duckburgers backwards through time, to the day just before the historical fall of Tootum-Too. Using their historical foreknowledge, Gyro and Scrooge changed the outcome of the war, and, though they were unable to bring back any evidence of their travel (including a large golden statue Scrooge had been rather counting on), they found that what had been ruins and desert when they first arrived was, in this new timeline, a small and peaceful town that seemed to be the remains of Tootum-Too.
