Trick or Treat - Stories and Songs of Halloween is an audio adaptation of Trick or Treat. It features Witch Hazel, Beelzebub, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Donald Duck, and Hazel's Monsters (including the Halloween Pumpkin).
On Halloween Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, who are trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, can't seem to get any candy from their very own Unca Donald. However, the three ducklings happen to meet an actual, real-life witch, the kooky Witch Hazel, who, feeling sorry for them, sets out to get the candy from Donald using her actual magic powers. In a roaring battle between Hazel's extravagant sorcery and Donald's unfailing thick-headedness, events quickly escalate until a whole horde of monsters, ghosts and goblins are spreading chaos all around Donald's house…
Behind the scenes
Trick or Treat - Stories and Songs of Halloween is an audio adaptation of the cartoon Trick or Treat. It was released by Disneyland Records in 1974.
The record is made up of the original sound effects and dialogue from the cartoon, with a voice-over narration by Witch Hazel. Witch Hazel's lines from the cartoon also seem to be dubbed by the voice-over actress.
The record came packaged with two cut-out paper masks (one of Hazel and the other featuring the Halloween Pumpkin).
Interestingly, aside from the audio adaptation of Trick or Treat, the record also features a heavily edited and abridged version of The Story and Song from the Haunted Mansion, along with the song Grim Grinning Ghosts.
