Uncle Scrooge and the Third Nile (Zio Paperone e il Terzo Nilo in the original Italian) is a comic story written by François Corteggiani and drawn by Giorgio Cavazzano. It features Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Ludwig von Drake and the Beagle Boys.

Description[]

Donald Duck has been the janitor of the Duckburg Library for a while. The nephews decide to take advantage of it to go through the messy 'Gutenberg Room', where the oldest books and documents are (incompetently) kept. There, they happen upon the unpublished diary of famous explorer Jonathan Livingduck, who claims to have discovered a Third Nile whose source was an African El Dorado. Scrooge McDuck can't resist the call of ancient treasure, and Ludwig von Drake tags along as their egyptological expert. Unfortunately, they are also followed by the Beagle Boys, who don't quite understand the situation but find that anything that has to do with Scrooge McDuck and gold is worth investigating.

Behind the scenes[]
