The Venusians are a green humanoid alien species, one of the sentient species of the planet Venus in the Prime Universe.

Muchkale, who was the richest man on Venus in the 12th century, belongs to a species of green humanoids about as tall as Anthropomorphic Ducks with long, rigid, snout-like noses. Venusians like Muchkale were capable of surviving in a void, without eating, for centuries, though they would feel a constant gnawing hunger; so long as they didn't start eating again, they would stop aging completely.
Behind the scenes[]
This species of Venusians is seen in the 1958 story The Twenty-Four Carat Moon. Completely different aliens were seen to exist on Venus in later stories, including in another story by Carl Barks, Interplanetary Postman. Although it may simply be that various unrelated sentient species inhabit Venus together in the Prime Universe, much as there are many sapient species on that world's Earth, Muchkale having been marooned for centuries on the Golden Moon by 1958 without any means of contacting his people raises the possibility that the original Venusian species disappeared in-between 1167 and the 20th century, either mutating into the "new look" Venusians, becoming extinct and being replaced by them, or being conquered by them.
