Waffles is an American grey and white shorthair cat that moved to Spoonerville with his owners, Goofy and Max. He has a fairly laidback attitude, but occasionally does mischief such as sneaking away with food from the kitchen.
Waffles has an often adversarial relationship with Pete's dog, Chainsaw, whom likes to chase Waffles, whilst he like to pray pranks on her. Nevertheless there are times, where they get along, particularly when a common interest or foe is revealed.
Waffles once had a career in cat food commercials.

Like Chainsaw, as well as Pistol and Peg, Waffles did not appear in the A Goofy movie and its sequel, officially this was for pacing and narrative. reasons.
In some early episodes, the writers were inconsistent on Waffles gender, until it was eventually decided that Waffles was male.
