Whitewater Duck, also referred to as Abner Duck (in Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree)), is an anthropomorphic duck.

The tough and irritable Whitewater Duck is Eider Duck and Lulubelle Loon's son, Fethry's brother and Donald Duck's cousin. He works as a lumberjack in the Northern Forests, occasionally antagonized by Peg-Leg Pete, and does not like his "wacky" Duckburg relatives very much. Amusingly, despite his typically lumberjack-esque physical fitness, he is rather bad at ball games, a source of unending shame for him.

Behind the scenesEdit

Whitewater first appeared in 1962 in Carl Barks's story Log Jockey. Whitewater appeared several times afterwards, although he never became a real recurring character. He also appears in the 2018 Manual do Zé Carioca tie-in book.

In Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree, he is named Abner "Whitewater" Duck. However, this is likely a mistake of Rosa's; Barks's story makes clear that Whitewater is the character's real first name and not just a nickname (his post sign even reads "W. Duck"). Moreover, his position as Donald's first cousin in the tree is debatable, as Barks had Donald say Whitewater was "a distant cousin" instead.
