Year of a Million Dreams Commercial is a 2006 live-action/animated hybrid commercial featuring the Hitchhiking Ghosts and Mickey Mouse. The short was made to promote the 2006 Year of a Million Dreams sweepstakes at both the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California which ran from 2006-2008.
Plot[]
In the morning at Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, a cast member sweeps up pixie dust. A baker makes gingerbread men which come to life and begin whistling, making her smile. At the Haunted Mansion at the Disneyland Resort, the ghosts of the mansion, including the Hitchhiking Ghosts begin clocking in for the day. A waiter in a resturaunt near the Disney California Adventure attraction, Grizzly River Run in the Disneyland Resort, cleans a wine glass and puts it on a table with silverware and dishes which begin to dance, making him smile. At Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, a housekeeper named Arlene from Anaheim, California, makes one of the beds with the help of woodland animals such as a rabbit, chipmunks, red birds, yellow brids and bluebirds. One of the bluebirds lands on her sholder. An unseen narrator begins to mention how everyday those who work at the Disney Parks prepare to make the guest's dreams come true in ways they've never imagined. Two female cast members are sharpening the swords for pirates at the Pirates of the Carribean attraction at either Disneyland Park or Magic Kingdom park. One of them gives keys to the Prison Dog who runs off with them. At the Magic Kingdom, a man pushes on a lever which grows the Mickey Mouse flowers in front of the Main Street U.S.A train station. The sweeping cast member blows pixie dust off of the broom towards Cinderella Castle.
