You Can Count on Count Mickey is a comic story written by Stefan Petrucha and drawn by Joaquín Cañizares Sanchez. It features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, brief appearances by Butch, Doc Static and Chief O'Hara, mentions of Count Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster, soemone disguised as Charlie Chaplin, and the debuts of Hairy Von Hunchback, Gordon and Wolfgang.

Attending a Halloween costume ball as vampires, a witch and Frankenstein's Monster respectively, Mickey, Minnie, Clarabelle and Goofy are mistaken for real ghoulies by genuine ghost Gordon, who whisk them off to a parallel dimension to help free him and other spirits and demons from the power of an evil sorcerer, Hairy Von Hunchback.

Behind the scenes

This story was first printed in 2001 in the German Lustiges Taschenbuch #285. It was printed in English in Donald Duck Adventures #8 with localization by Annette Roman.

Though the story does not identify its realm as the X-Dimension (which would properly debut the next year in In the Mirror), it seems likely that in-universe, it and You Can Count’s “Realm of Darkness” are one and the same.
